Refinished Floors of My Noe Valley Victorian Home

 

With my children playing upstairs, Nhance came and redid the downstairs floors of my house and this improvement was amazing. There were no fumes and no dust to clean after. That night we could walk on the floor with our socks. They warmed the color of the front room and floors that were sticky and always dirty were able to be clean again after the Nhance process. Everyone who worked on the team was nice to be around.

Worn-out floors look like new!

 

After years of wear and tear by kids, dogs, and life, our hardwood floors looked ghastly. The only shine left was under a dog bed and in a closet. The wood had transformed from golden to grimy grey, and I couldn't foresee it ever returning to its resplendent original oakey color. If floors could cry, ours surely would have. At least that would have made them a little shiny for a while. ;)

 

We are down to the nails in our floors, which means we can no longer have the floors refinished the traditional way. Plus that was just too pricey for our budget. What to do? Enter NHance. The people owners and workers are super conscientious about their work, which made me feel good from the get-go. And unlike traditional hardwood floor refinishing, these guys dont take a layer off, so we could get the results of a beautiful floor with a shiny finish without damaging the wood. And because of the washing and buffing techniques, we didnt have all that dust that comes with shining up floors the regular way. And as an extra bonus, we could walk on the floors in stocking feet at the end of the day! Wed have had to wait at least three days the way we normally did it.

 

A no brainer, to be sure. We hired them, and at the end of the day (literally), our floors had gone from grungy to looking like a bowling alley! (Or as my daughter said, a palace.) We were blown away.

 

We were totally impressed by NHance every single step of the way. It's a company with integrity and a heart and a fantastic service. If you need your tired wood floors vastly improved without making a huge dent in your lifestyle, budget, or for that matter, your floors (remember, they don't take a layer of wood off for these great results!), call them!

We have had two jobs done by NHance.

 

The first was our cabinets where they did a great job sealing all the cabinets which had water damage and even touching up some spots with color that were faded or water damaged.

 

The floor job was an AMAZING NIGHT AND DAY CHANGE. The floors are almost 60 years old with some discoloration from the nails in the wood and a few deep gauges. They were honest that they would not be able to remove the rust or gauges, which for me is fine. I know that they are old wood floors that have lived a lot of life. They also had a lot of very surface wear and tear where the previous finish was completely worn through. When I saw them today after getting sealed yesterday, I felt like I was at home (we just bought the house) with these beautiful rich wood floors shining back at me. There was even a spot with quite a bit of paint in one of the closets where my 5 year old "helped" me when I was painting. I was thinking that since it was in the closet, I would just not worry about it. But when I looked at it today, they had taken the time to hand sand it down so that even my closet has pretty wood floors.

 

Each person I have dealt with through NHance has been super professional and helpful. They let me know from the beginning they will come out and do any touch-ups we need. I did find a hidden spot on my cabinets that had been missed and they were more than happy to come and fix it at my convenience.

I had this company out to refinish our dining room table, a bedroom bureau top surface, and to refinish vertical accent trim pieces on some kitchen cabinets (no easy task to match finishes here). The table and the bureau came out beautifully. We are 100% satisfied

 

The kitchen trim didn't come out as matched as we had hoped and so here's the great part. This company was quick to respond to my dissatisfaction, brought in their best stain match person for the job and made it right and we are now 100% happy with that job as well.

 

Given how few companies seem to get the customer service piece of the business, I was thrilled with NHance's approach. So, to sum up - excellent work, excellent customer service and great price. How rare is that trifecta?
